ECA - Public Art Subcommittee Monday August 29th, 5:15 pm 5:15 Public Speak – Jamie explained the procedure for getting informative emails from the City’s web site. Approval of June 27th meeting minutes – Jamie motioned for approval, Bob seconded, all agreed. 01027 Bike Rack - Bob showed the committee pictures of the advanced peeling paint. The bike rack will be repainted with Ultra Spec DTM (direct to metal) latex paint $25 per quart, after spot primed with Rust-Oleum. The committee will work on this together in October. Bob and Pasqualina will work on a project materials list. Pasqualina will ask Joe @ Fleury if there are temperature recommendations for use of paint. Starting in 2025(approximate time frame) the Main Street area will be undergoing an infrastructure improvement project and new sidewalks will be installed. The committee agreed that that will be a better time to determine a more permanent solution for the 01027 bike rack. Michael Poole has been notified of the changes set to be made to the 01027 bike rack and agreed to help with the repainting. He suggested that feet be added, and installation method changed to the rack being bolted to the cement via the feet. Cottage Street Volunteer Sculpture RFP – The committee reviewed the proposal and voted unanimously to approve it with the discussed edits and the new timeline. The RFP will be released September 7th. Pasqualina is consulting with Parks Dept and DPW on the pouring of the cement pad. Depending on the direction taken more funds might need to be raised. She will make sure whoever pours the pad knows that it needs to match the existing pad and needs to be minimum of 4” thick. Next meeting Monday September 26th at 5:15pm, at Payson
