Pond Committee Meeting Minutes: Jan 15, 2020 Present: Elaine Wood, Liz Provo, Beth Tiffany, Kisha Zullo, Paul Nowak Guests: none The meeting was called to order by Paul Nowak at 6:07PM Public Speak Time: none Approval of the December minutes ____________ OLD BUSINESS: (carry over action steps) Financial report: None Siltation Basin Project: Paul reported that the 401 permit is not in place currently. Our consultant had been assured sever- al times verbally by Mr. Lang at DEP that we were OK . DEP said that because of this confusion they will try to work as fast as they can to make this work., GZA will do application ASAP. Their fee is $4,500. Gary Golas will follow up as needed. Jamie Webb thinks that estimated numbers are still looking good. Work is still on track in 2020. WinterFest • Sponsorship Update: $8,070 as of 1/14/20. Deadline to be in the program is Dec. 31st. Many were listed on the flyer (new this year) • Ice Bar: Cancelled • Infrastructure: Emails sent to abutters. No detail needed. • Wagon rides/Municipal Lot: Mike will move ice sculpture to the lot. No food truck. • Volunteers: Board is live. Liz contacted Brian Miller at the high school for volunteers for the craft fair. Waiting to hear back. • Promotions: • Easthampton Media promo videos now available. • Flyers are up in 140 locations (Easthampton, Northampton, Amherst and Florence). • Calendars: We’re in AAA, and various calendars • Press Release: Went out 12/16 • P.O. s are started for most performers and venues • Chili Cook Off: 4 submissions (Bistro, Nini’s, Progression Brewery and Corsellos). Don’t announce more than the #1 winner. Elaine’s going out tomorrow. • Craft Fair: Erin has volunteered the Trolley. Wait till next year maybe. We’d need to pay $40 hr. For driver and gas. Have Elsa in the trolley. Beth wants a draw for both ends of the hall. Liz contacted BJ Korona. He is happy to play. Just needs to know the time frame. Beth follow up and he didn’t respond. • To do list: Everyone should update. • Greeter signed up for 10:30 slot. Liz • Put Crooked Stick on as Bronze sponsor • Kisha will work on donation can labels - 4 regular coffee can size, 1 big. Flyer is on website. • Elaine may be gone on the 29th. Already submitted agendas. • Elaine has the Ice Age movie. • Kisha will follow up with her “elsa” to be Keystone • Liz will print 150 chili ballots, 14 restaurant participation flyers., scavenger sheets on blue paper based on last year’s count Next Meetings: Wed.
