Pond Committee Meeting Minutes: December 30, 2020 The meeting was called to order by at 6:05PM via Zoom. Beth read statement for remote meetings as per COVID guidelines. Roll Call: Present: Elaine Wood, Liz Provo, Beth Tiffany, Amy Marsters, Paul Nowak Guests: Angelica, Reminder Public Speak Time: Angelica updated us on the story she will be writing about the event. Approval of the November minutes - minutes approved. ___________ NEW BUSINESS: Elaine thinks we are eligible for COVID relief. 501C3: Amy will be working with attorney, pro-bono, to make us a non-pro t. We need to nd direc- tor, treasurer and clerk. Elaine volunteered. Give some thought to who might be good ts for com- munity members to be part of the board. Wouldn’t be time consuming. Amy will have more to report after WinterFest COVID relief: Elaine is checking to see whether we could qualify for this money. She will reach out to Pasqualina to see if City Arts is applying OLD BUSINESS: Gabion Weir and Siltation Basin updates: Paul updated that GZA who said that the contractor said rst week of January they will resume construction. Jamie asked if more money could be allocated for the additional work. Paul has not responded yet as the contractor will be invoicing the city for addi- tional work. Paul will ask Hatel for a fund balance. Cyanobacteria/Water Quality Monitoring: no update from Elaine. Farmer’s Market: $81 in bags, cards. Good. WinterFest 202 • Sponsors have been updated on the website. Liz will begin to thank them on Facebook beginning in January. We need 18 gift certi cates. Have about 17 so far. • Events have been added to the calendar and are now public. Still waiting for snow sculpture and scavenger hunt info • Window contest: Beth, Mary Lou and Amy will follow up on to nalize list so we can advertise them • Lainey will contact Easthampton Media to see if we can do a “Live • Scavenger Hunt and Snow Sculpture: Beth will message Katie one more time or we’ll cancel those events • Cut outs: Park and rec is making 3cut outs to be around town. We may need a step • Mary Lou would like us to do a yer with the Activities • Sam from Park and Rec to do cut outs for Keystone, Cottage St. maybe a 3rd one somewhere. Lainey asked Sam to make one or more boards. She is interested in helping. Katie will be in touch with her. Collaboration with Park and Rec • Photo contest: Pasqualina is happy to have City Arts judge • Sponsorship: There is a document of businesses we are visiting. Put your name in if you want to go to one • Other fundraising: Big E’s took 250 bags. They are sending us a check every month. • Bag sales: Beth created spreadsheet, Big E’s great, Waterworks - great, Wedgeworks and Boutique both good • Other merch: Money coming in from merchants Next Meetings: WinterFest Workshop: 1/6 at 6:30 - 7:00 and 1/13 6:30 - 7:00.
