Easthampton Park and Recreation Skate Park Subcommittee Meeting Minutes of Nov 21, 2022 This meeting was held on Google Meets. The meeting called to order by Paul St. Pierre at 5:04 pm Also present: Skate Park Committee members: Noah, Eddie, Jeff Bagg and John Mason. Absent: Skate Park Committee members: Angie Falkowski, Jeff Burke, Eric Poulin and Jason Tirrell. Public: Joan K, Tom Agenda • Skate Park Public Speak – None Skate Park: John M and Paul St. P presented the GZA Wetland Delineation Report to the committee. GZA identified enough land for a Skate Park and Dog Park with very limited restrictions and permitting required. A Map of the area was presented to the committee. Some of the concerns discussed by the committee were vehicle and emergency access, parking and lighting. Jeff B. suggested getting the National Heritage overlay on the mapping of the area. John will include that for Phase II of GZA report. Tom (Public) asked about environmental impact on area and impact of specific species in area. Also concerned about potential smell from DPW Sewer Plant. Jeff B asked about the Rail Trail being shifted on mapping. John M reminded committee that this report was for Wetland Delineation only and not a final design. Parking and access will be discussed at a later date after Phase II review of MASS DEP Waste Site and Reportable Releases Data provide a summary memorandum describing steps required for future Site use and development as a skate park, dog park, parking area and multiuse trail.
