EASTHAMPTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE FINANCE SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING (Tuesday) February 16, 2021 School Department zoom only 4:00 p.m. Meeting Notes Attended by: Allison LeClair, Dayle Doiron, Jonathan Schmidt, Marin Goldstein, Shannon Dunham, and Cynthia Kwiecinski Started 4:05pm. I. Public Speak General – postpone meeting 2/23 to 3/2 due to returning to school on 9/22 Special populations Use the zoom for 3/2 to access the meeting. II. WBMS Operating Budgets, 2021/2022 (FY22) No major surprises, no additions/deletions in staff, but increase/decrease for staff departures/replacements Principal increase 2% not budgeted in current line of FY21, to reflect FY21 increase. WMBS – 5 staff eligible for STEP and 5 SPED staff eligible for STEP Lunchroom staff increase as part of min wage increase Line 3 shift in $1,000 to line 22 for anticipated student support needs Line 13 shift $500 to line 24, for increase 504/BST salaries Line 23 – didn’t complete projected degree/STEP = savings Line 26 – decrease due to departure, and re-hire at lower wage (left open in 2020-21) *Same level of custodian staffing for new building Overall - $29,468 increase = +1.11% III. EHS Operating Budgets, 2021/2022 (FY22) No staffing changes Line 32. Athletic club sport (tennis) – increase to league sport = stipend increase Stipend negotiation increases for athletic and extra curricular stipends = 2% Decreases in personal, retirement of 2 teachers and 1 clerical from top of salary level Para staff departure during FY21, new hires are already working and lower level Overall - $15,473 decrease = -0.44% Upcoming Budget Subcommittee Meetings a.
