Administrative Items  Correspondence/Requests for comment from other boards, committees, officials, etc.  No comments were received.  Public Comments / Public Speak  None  Meeting Minutes: 8/24/2022  Member Karella made a motion to approve the minutes, Member Lytwyn seconded. All voted in favor to approve the minutes. Public Hearings  1. Patti Dougherty- seeking a special permit to operate a major home occupation as a personal trainer in accordance with sections 10.4 & 12.7 of the Easthampton Zoning Ordinance. Subject property is located at 82 Lovefield Street (parcel ID 130-15) and zoned Residential Rural C (R-35). Patti Dougherty the applicant was present representing herself. She explained that she is a self- employed personal trainer who currently see’s clients either over zoom or in the client’s home. She stated that she is applying for the Special Permit so that she can see clients in her own home. She also stated that she would see 10-12 clients per week and no more than one at a time for 50-60 minute sessions. Member Lytwtn asked the applicant if she planned to stay at the same location if her business grew. The applicant replied that she had no plans to change her business model but if her business did change she would seek a different location. No members of the public were present to speak. The Board went over findings and conditions in a draft permit and assented to all of the findings and conditions. 1 of 2 Zoning Board of Appeals Member Karella made a motion to approve the special permit, Member Lytwtn seconded. All voted in favor. In favor Opposed Abstained Absent John Atwater ✓ Matt Waugh ✓ Anthony Karella ✓ Steven Lytwyn ✓ Lisa Jaffe ✓ Tim Garaceau - (associate member) Announcements & Discussion of the Board Chair Atwater announced that Member Jaffe had been promoted to a full member of the Board in light of Lindsie Alterkun’s resignation. Assistant Planner Bloch added that the Chair had the ability to temporarily promote an associate member if the number of Board members falls below five and that Member Jaffe will also apply with the Mayor’s office. Chair Atwater also pointed out that Lindsie Alterkun had been vice chair and asked if they should appoint a new vice chair. Member Lytwyn nominated Member Karella. Member Waugh seconded the nomination. All voted in favor to make Member Karella the vice chair. Member Karella made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Member Lytwyn seconded. All voted in favor and the meeting adjourned at 6:22 PM. Next meeting December 14, 2022 2 of 2
