WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS: Call to Order Review Legal Ad – Posted on website Public Comment NEW BUSINESS: Consider motion to use automated, independent audit system for this election’s Post-Election Audit. Consider motion to approve of the SOE’s Office opening and separating VBM ballots for this election as they are received, as necessary with at least one canvassing board member present on Election Day, March 7, 2026, after 9:00 A.M. Consider motion to approve of the SOE’s Office to do Duplication processing as necessary when at least one Canvassing Board Member is present. The SOE’s office will present, if necessary, the duplication to the Canvassing Board for final approval. Consider motion to designate Veronica King as the Board’s appointee to be present for this election’s ballot processing as necessary to conduct VBM tabulation, ballot duplication, and an automated independent audit, as applicable. LOGIC AND ACCURACY TEST: Conduct required test of voting equipment per § 101.5612 F.S., which requires, in pertinent part: (2) On any day not more than 25 days before the commencement of early voting…the supervisor of elections shall have the automatic tabulating equipment publicly tested to ascertain that the equipment will correctly count the votes cast for all offices and on all measures…Public notice of the time and place of the test shall be given at least 48 hours prior thereto….The canvassing board shall convene, and each member…shall certify to the accuracy of the test… (3) For electronic or electromechanical voting systems configured to tabulate vote-by- mail ballots at a central or regional site [e.g., DS950s], the public testing shall be conducted by processing a preaudited group of ballots so produced as to record a predetermined number of valid votes for each candidate and on each measure and to  include one or more ballots for each office which have activated voting positions in excess of the number allowed by law… (4)(a)1. For electronic or electromechanical…tabulation devices which are distributed to the precincts, all or a sample of the devices…shall be publicly tested….the sample shall consist of a random selection of at least 5 percent or 10 of the devices for an optical scan system [e.g., DS300s]…For touchscreen systems…a sample of at least 2 percent of the devices must be tested…The group of ballots shall be produced so as to record a predetermined number of valid votes for each candidate and on each measure and to include for each office one or more ballots which have activated voting positions in excess of the number allowed by law… (5) Any tests involving marksense ballots…shall employ test ballots created by the supervisor of elections using actual ballots that have been printed for the election. If ballot-on-demand ballots will be used in the election, the supervisor shall also create test ballots using the ballot-on-demand technology that will be used to produce ballots in the election, using the same paper stock as will be used for ballots in the election. [The Supervisor of Elections may use both marksense ballots and ballot-on-demand ballots during the course of early voting and election day]. CALENDAR REVIEW: Next meeting is Election Day, March 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for canvassing of VBM ballots in the SOE Warehouse. General review of calendar.
