I. CALL TO ORDER
Paul Algerio called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM.

III. COMMENTS BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC
Pursuant to N.R.S. 241, this time is devoted to comments by the public, if any, and discussion of
those comments. No action may be taken upon a matter raised under this item on the agenda until
the matter itself has been specifically included on a successive agenda and identified as an item
for possible action. ACTION WILL NOT BE TAKEN.
There were no public comments.
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Review, consideration and possible approval of minutes for 2/20/24. FOR POSSIBLE
ACTION
** A motion was made by Member Morris, seconded by Vice Chair Carter to approve the
February 20, 2024 meeting minutes.
* Motion passed unanimously. (3-0)
V. NEW BUSINESS

A. Review, consideration, and discuss ongoing interfacing items with the Nevada Department of
Transportation, and matters related thereto. DISCUSSION ITEM
B. Review City of Elko Stormwater Permit - A review of ongoing enforcement of the City of
Elko's MS4 Permit, and projects associated with the MS4 Permit, and matters related thereto.
DISCUSSION ITEM
Paul Algerio, Street Superintendent, said the new environmental coordinator ended up not accepting
the position. We are still searching for one. If anybody knows someone, send them the city's way.
Lana Carter, Carter Engineering, reported on May 7th the state visited two construction sites for
projects she is involved with, Bergeron and Last Chance Industrial. They have the same contractor,
Ruby Dome. Most of the items on the inspection reports are maintenance items. They have two weeks
to make the corrections, which is tomorrow. They will get pictures and everything sent back to the state
tomorrow.
Mr. Algerio asked if she knew of any other sites they visited.
Ms. Carter said no. She didn't know if the state sends copies of their inspection reports to the city. She
asked if the city was interested in having her forward them when she gets them.
Mr. Algerio said that would be good. He wasn't sure if Ralph or Scott get them.
Ms. Carter said she will check with both and if they don't, she will send them. She asked if she should
copy the city on her responses as well.
Mr. Algerio said sure.
VI. SET NEXT MEETING DATE
Mr. Algerio said if anybody has anything for the next meeting, send it to him and he'll coordinate
getting it put on the agenda.
The next meeting will be on August 20th at 3pm.
