Mayor Robertson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval to donate Parcel 2 of White Pine County Record Map 1328 located on the Golf Course consisting of 105.116 acres to White Pine County for the purpose of drilling a new well to service the Golf Course using White Pine County water rights; if approved, this donation would exclude any and all City of Ely water rights associated with the parcel. 2. Mayor Robertson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Review of deed for the City’s Belfort Avenue parcel, APN 001-121-01, awarded to White Pine County Construction, with possible approval. 3. Mayor Robertson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval of up to $6,500.00 in expenditures for City of Ely officials to visit Nevada’s Congressional Delegation in Washington D.C. March 6-9, 2024, to be paid out of uncommitted Community Service Funds. 4. Councilwoman Elliott – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval of Second Addendum of Contract between Porter Group, LLC, and the City of Ely for continued lobbying services through March 14, 2025. 5. Councilwoman Williams-Harper – Discussion Only – White Pine Chamber of Commerce monthly report. 6. Council Members – City Public Works Director Cracraft - City Engineer Almberg – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval of Certification of Roads for Fuel Tax within t h e C i t y o f E l y , Nevada, pursuant to NRS 365.550. 7. Council Members – City Attorney Cahoon – Human Resources Director Trask – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval of proposed Resolution No. 2024-02 adopting hiring policy and procedures for exempt appointed officials, with possible changes to be determined. 8. (2) A public body may close a meeting upon a motion, which specifies the nature of the business to be considered. (3) This chapter does not: (a) Apply to judicial proceedings. (b) Prevent the removal of any person who willfully disrupts a meeting to the extent that its orderly conduct is made impractical. (c) Prevent the exclusion of witnesses from a public or private meeting during the examination of another witness. (d) Require that any meeting be closed to the public. (e) Permit a closed meeting for the discussion of the appointment of any person to public office or as a member of a public body. (4) The exception provided by this section, and electronic communication, must not be used to circumvent the spirit or letter of this chapter in order to discuss or act upon a matter over which the public body has supervision, control, jurisdiction or advisory powers.
