Mayor Robertson – White Pine County Sheriff Scott Henriod – Discussion/For Possible Action – Direction to City Attorney to draft an ordinance restricting ATV usage in City limits. 2. Mayor Robertson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval of Amendment to Professional Services Agreement between the City of Ely and Paul Cavin Architect LLC in order to move forward with design documentation from 50% Construction Documents to 100% Construction Documents. 3. Mayor Robertson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Discussion on funds the City could commit to the City Hall renovation project with possible direction to bring back a specific plan at the next meeting for approval. 4. Mayor Robertson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Review and discussion of researched options to relocate City staff during the renovation of City Hall, with possible direction to further research discussed options. 5. Councilman Alworth – Discussion Only – Discussion regarding required Nevada State Historical Preservation Office review process for the Commission for Cultural Centers and Historic Preservation grants received to assist in the renovation of City Hall. Councilwoman Elliott - White Pine Museum Representative Bill Wolf – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval to donate $30,000 to White Pine Public Museum to secure and transport antique vehicles and equipment. 12. Councilwoman Williams-Harper – Nevada Northern Railway President Mark Bassett – Discussion/For Possible Action – Update on the Consolidated Rail Infrastructure & Safety Improvements (CRISI) Grant, with possible approval for the City of Ely to 1) Be the lead agency on the grant; and 2) Pay FMW Solutions $15,000 for completion of the grant application, which must be submitted by May 28th. 13. Council Members – Building Official Hendrickson – Discussion/For Possible Action – Approval of First Reading of Ordinance 757, Bill No. 2024-03 adding Section 5 “Tiny Houses” to Title 12, Chapter 4, Article D of the Ely Municipal Code regulating tiny houses and amending Article D to designate zoning district R-M-T in which tiny homes will be permitted to be located and classified as single-family residential units; and providing other matters properly relating thereto. 9. (2) A public body may close a meeting upon a motion, which specifies the nature of the business to be considered. (3) This chapter does not: (a) Apply to judicial proceedings. (b) Prevent the removal of any person who willfully disrupts a meeting to the extent that its orderly conduct is made impractical. (c) Prevent the exclusion of witnesses from a public or private meeting during the examination of another witness. (d) Require that any meeting be closed to the public. (e) Permit a closed meeting for the discussion of the appointment of any person to public office or as a member of a public body.
