February 15, 2024 18 EMMAUS BOROUGH COUNCIL The Emmaus Borough Council met in Special Session on February 15, 2024, in Council Chambers and via Zoom. CALL TO ORDER Council President Chad Balliet, called the Council meeting to order at 7:03 PM. Roy Anders Present Chad Balliet, Council President Present Shana Baumgartner, Council Vice President Present Nathan Brown Present Chris Hoenscheid Present Brent Labenberg Absent Kate Watt Present LeeAnn Gilbert, Mayor Present Jason Ulrich, Solicitor Present Shane Pepe, Borough Manager Present Sara Jarrett-Eaton, Asst. Borough Manager Absent PERSONAL APPEALS, PART I – None. EXECUTIVE SESSION Council entered into Executive Session at 7:04 PM to discuss a personnel matter. The meeting reconvened at 10:50 PM. BOROUGH MANAGER CONTRACT Motion by Mrs. Watt seconded by Mr. Hoenscheid to offer a two (2) year contract for the Borough Manager position to Shane Pepe with one (1) year renewing terms at a salary of $170,000 and with benefits as previously agreed upon to be memorialized in a contract written by the Borough Solicitor and reviewed and approved by Mr. Pepe. There were 6 ayes. Motion carried. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Mr. Anders seconded by Mr. Brown to adjourn the February 15, 2024 Emmaus Borough Council Meeting. There were 6 ayes. Motion carried.
