MINUTES VILLAGE OF ENOSBURG FALLS Meeting of the Board of Trustees January 7th, 2025 Present: Sam Vaillancourt, Leonard Charron, Sandra Ferland and Heather Moore Not Present: Eli Gabuzda Staff – John Dasaro, Abbey Miller Meeting was called to order by John Dasaro at 8:07am 1. Special Meeting to discuss grant application for Youth Center Heather Moore presented that the Youth Center would like to apply for a grant that would cover expenses for the next 3 years, but the Youth Center’s tax-exempt status is not complete, and they would like to use the Village as a fiscal agent for one more grant. Discussion centered around the hope that the Youth Center would be stand alone and that the grant would need to be reported in the Village’s financial reports even though no Village funds will be used towards the Youth Center. It was decided to give the Youth Center one more week to try and get their documents submitted and complete before the Board of Trustees gives their final decision. This item will be on the agenda at the January 14th meeting 2. Other Business John Dasaro advised that Act 171 was passed by Vermont Legislature, and this will require the Village Manager, Director of Finance and Trustee members to complete a training by September of 2025. This training must be completed regardless of the Village having a code of ethics. 3. Adjourn There being no other business to come before the Board at this time Sandra Ferland made a motion to adjourn. Second by Heather Moore. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50am.
