CALL TO MEETING ORDER Call to order at 635 PM via Zoom Members Present – Eric Armstrong, Scott DeLuise, Paul Houghtaling, Kevin Cain, Emmett Dowling, Paul Meilinger, Angela Tarry Town (Trustee) Staff – Brandon Bell (Trustee), Ben Pratt, Jason Hurd Pledge of Allegiance Approval of December 2020 minutes Officer Reports Chairman – Houghtailing - Objective of the meeting is to discuss the priorities of the board - Small committees in the future to handle projects - Importance of community outreach - Importance of creating an airport that draws interest o New terminal building and restaurant would create interest and revenue Vice Chairman – DeLuise - Recommends review of 2016 master plan for all members - Engagement of the Erie Economic Development Council important for accomplishing priorities - Discussion of Erie Air Fair o Vice Chairman and wife were the organizers of past events o Long lead time and coordination necessary o Summer 2022 may be possible with enough interest  New organizer needed and plenty of volunteers  Engage the Erie Chamber of Commerce Airport Manager – Jason Hurd - Monthly report submitted to Board of Trustees - Through the fence fee collection underway - Answered questions about the nature of calls received by residents - Runway striping and marking project later this year Economic Development Director – Pratt - Discussion of airport property taxes TOWN OF ERIE Page 1 Printed on 2/12/2021 Airport Economic Development Meeting Minutes - Final January 21, 2021 Advisory Board New Business - Board Priorities discussion from members o Community involvement o Importance of creating an airport that draws interest from Erie and other communities o New Terminal/FBO (Fixed Base Operator-Vector Air) building with restaurant o New hangar development o Business park o New entrance on Arapahoe at existing 4 way light o Improved runway and airport safety o Improved tax structure to encourage aviation usage in line with other area airports - Board field trip at appropriate time to review the airport property Old Business – None Meeting Adjourned at 800 PM Next meeting scheduled for February 18, 2021.
