645 Holbrook Street TOWN OF ERIE Erie, CO 80516 Meeting Minutes - Final Historic Preservation Advisory Board Monday, April 25, 2016 6:30 PM Minutes Erie Historic Preservation Advisory Board Meeting, April 25, 2016 Participating: Jackie Connor, Chair; Paula King, Co-chair; Mark Mavrogianes, Secretary; Dave Snow, Dave Lotton, Sarah Wise,Sherri Barksdale and Scott Charles BOT Liaison. This meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Jackie Connor. Minutes of March 28 were approved. The Agenda was approved. Public comment and non agenda items Nancy Gruber Solicited suggestions for Historic markers for a walking/biking tour. Megan Gilbert, sophomore at Erie High School has created a drawing representing historic Erie. She presented her art work to the EHPAB. Old Business • Member reports were given. • Grant from History Colorado to fund our MasterPreservation Plan has been delayed due to delay in Federal Funding. • Historic Survey by Front Range Associates is on schedule • Website work still in progress • Dave Lotton is working on Sharepoint files • We received a letter from Mark Rodman of History Colorado congratulating us on the strong progress our CLG has made and urged us to continue our efforts. We have met the requirements of a CLG program. • Town Fair and Balloon Fest is May 21st. • A request to clarify the name of the historic Wise property must begin with a request from the Wise family. Motion was passed to inform property owners. • Report to Board of Trustees on our grant application for the development of a master preservation plan will be scheduled when the new Board of Trustees members are in place. • Discussed the need for a COA prior to remodeling the Lincoln School.
