Need to map master plan to budgets. Jeff to send Julia an email regarding the language in the Master Plan vision statement. New Business Sustainability Advisory Board Secretary nominations Jeff nominated to continue as secretary and voted in. Solar Days event (vote on idea) – JP Tom Moves to create a subcommittee of 3 people to discuss and plan an event. JP, Tom, Berenice to take next steps ahead of next meeting Earth Week event (vote on idea). This would include no longer co-sponsoring Earth/Tree Day. – Tom Tom Moves to no longer co-sponsor earth day / Arbor Day with tree board – approved. Earth Week – separate committee to plan earth week – we don’t need to decide tonight, we should understand Solar Days over the next couple of months. Then we can start to understand Earth Week and further discuss later in the year. Planning would need to start Decemberish. Leaf Composting update- Saturday, Nov 23rd and Sunday, December 1st? (Tom/Monali) Tom will follow up on pushing the ecocycle agreement. Communication update (Berenice) Is there some budget to create professional fliers? Materials for workshops, open houses, at the recycling center or community center. Update website. Will attend the chamber green business program. Boulder County Resource Conservation Advisory Board (RCAB) request for representation Recommendation is for this to be someone from town staff. Todd suggested discussing once they hire additional people. Other Budget for next year. End of July JP submitted an updated budget for next year, requesting $11,800. $5,100 for leaf composting $2,000 Community outreach and education $1,500 Erie Renewable Energy Research $300 town event participation & materials $2,500 recycling compost programs $200 shirts $200 misc Need to ensure we are aware of this ahead of next year – May/June Add budget update as a standing item. This years budget. Do we have to do an RFP for a supplier? Need to talk to eco-cycle? Tom and JP to discuss with Todd regarding the 3 events, also whether the budget can be used for permenant or semi-permanent recycling bins the town can set out and use.
