The advisory board has been doing a good job giving response and advice to Lotus’ questions and inquiries Single-use Plastic Waste Reduction update 30 people in attendance The group decided to build an app to educate people on plastic waste TOWN OF ERIE Page 1 Printed on 11/19/2020 Sustainability Advisory Board Meeting Minutes - Final July 1, 2020 Recycle Colorado is working with 8 people to develop the app Meetings are being held at the Boulder community center New Business Sustainability Advisory Board officer (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary) nominations J.P. runs for chair, and is elected Adam runs for Vice Chair and is elected Berenice runs for Communication Liaison and is elected We will vote on secretary during the August meeting Concerts in the Park – What is the SAB’s role going forward? The program has proven to be viable Needs more consistent workers Group consensus is to present to the town that they take over the program Leaf Composting Event details – dates, times, changes in the process, etc? The idea of potentially moving the assets from leaf composting to some other more beneficial program was discussed. No conclusions were determined Earth Day/Arbor Day – What does next year look like? Should we continue to co-sponsor the “day” event? Should we focus on the actual “day” or weekly events? Should we continue as we have been or split from the tree board and plan our own event?
