Request the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2023-38 authorizing the Escondido Fire
Department to accept Fiscal Year 2022 State of California Pass Through funds in the amount of
$250,000; authorize the Fire Chief or his designee to execute the subrecipient documents on
behalf of the City; and approve budget adjustments needed to create a project code and
spend the funds to refurbish the fire training facility and address infrastructure needs. (File

WELLNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH GRANT AND BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
Request the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2023-39, authorizing the Escondido Police
Department to accept a Bureau of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) FY 2022-23 Officer
Wellness and Mental Health Grant in the amount of $94,781.16; authorize the Chief of Police
or his designee to execute grant documents on behalf of the City; and approve budget
adjustments needed to spend grant funds. (File Number 0480-70)
