Approval of minutes from the November 9, 2023 meeting. Motion: Schwab; Second: Reyes; Approved 5-0 CURRENT BUSINESS 2. Library Board of Trustees Bylaws Revision Motion to add the following language to Section 5 of the Library Board of Trustees Bylaws: “Article ‘F’, section 4, of Attachment ‘A’ in the contract between the City of Escondido and LS&S, concerning the position of City Librarian, states: ‘Appointment of an individual to this position shall be subject to the approval of the Library Board and City Manager and his/her designee.’ In order to complete a thorough vetting of new City Librarian candidates, the President and Secretary of the Library Board of Trustees or delegate, as a sub-committee, will participate in the complete interview process and report their recommendation to the Board during a Library Board of Trustees meeting”: Schwab; Second: Clemens; Approved: 5-0 3. Trustee Clemens – Checked out travel books from the library to plan her trip to Europe. Secretary Bova – Met with Rino Landa. President Bunnell – Met with Mayor White and gave him a tour of the Library.
