New Mural-Zane Motion: Dillender Second: Ryan Approved: 6-0 (Vargas – Absent) 3. Mural - Children's Discovery Museum Motion: Spann Second: Martinez Approved: 5-0 (Ryan – Abstain; Vargas – Absent) 4. Public Art Monitoring Commissioners to provide staff input on areas of interest for monitoring 5. Palomar College Mural Commissioner Velasco provided an update on the project. 7. Mural Policy- Procedures when murals are funded by others The Commission discussed communication regarding notified of private mural projects LIASON REPORT Assistant Director Danielle Lopez provided an update on the May 17th Commission appointments and the Public Art Master Plan Update; the Commissioners voted and there will not be the Pledge of Allegiance at the meetings. FINANCIAL REPORT 8. Review the Capital Project Balance Assistant Director Danielle Lopez provided an update. SUBCOMMITTEE UPDATES 9. Mural Subcommittee Commissioner Paul provided an update. 10. Queen Califia Subcommittee Commissioner Span provided an update. 11. Escondido Expressions Motion: Dillender Second: Spann Approved: 6-0 (Vargas – Absent) ITEMS FROM COMMISSIONERS/INSPIRATIONAL ART Commissioner Spann and Commissioner Ryan expressed disappointment in not having the pledge of allegiance at each meeting.
