The bill would remove the current state preemption on a city’s authority to prohibit firearms in city owned or controlled buildings (and areas surrounding the city owned or controlled buildings) that are possessed by people with a conceal/carry permit. IGR Manager recommends a Support Position and Priority 1. c. Beyond Toxics bill support request on SB 426-Toxic Free Schools Act and SB488- Medical Waste Incineration Act. Neither bill meets guidelines for Priority 1 or Priority 2 impacts. IGR Manager recommends no action. 4. Items for Committee Members and Good of Order 5.
