APPROVED:4/15/2021 MINUTES Special City Commission Meeting 5:00 PM - Monday, March 29, 2021 - City Hall CALL TO ORDER: 5:00 P.M. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF QUORUM AND PROPER NOTICE PRESENT: Commissioner Nan Cobb, Commissioner Willie Hawkins, Vice Mayor Emily Lee, Commissioner Karen LeHeup-Smith and Mayor Michael L. Holland 1. OTHER BUSINESS 1.1 Discussion regarding use of a mediator for joint City/County planning meeting Ron Neibert, City Manager, reported that the Lake County Board of Commissioners decided to only hold the joint meeting with a mediator to facilitate the meeting. He indicated it was up to the City Commission to decide if they want to meet with a mediator or not. Mayor Holland stated he was informed that the County would pay for the mediator. The Commission discussed whether or not to meet with the mediator with comments that since the County wants the mediator they should pay for it. CONSENSUS: It was a consensus of the Commission to meet with the mediator based on the County paying for the mediator. Mr. Neibert indicated he still needed the Commissioners to provide topics for discussion to include on the joint planning agenda. 2. ADJOURNMENT: 5:03 P.M.
