APPROVED 12/13/2022 MINUTES Local Planning Agency Meeting 5:45 PM - Thursday, December 01, 2022 - City Hall CALL TO ORDER: 5:48 P.M. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF QUORUM AND PROPER NOTICE 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES August 4, 2022 LPA Meeting 1.1 Approval of Minutes August 4, 2022 Local Planning Agency (LPA) Meeting Moved by Vice Chair Lee, Seconded by Mr. Hawkins. Ayes: Ms. Cobb , Mr. Hawkins, Vice Chair Lee, Ms. Le-Heup-Smith and Chairman Holland 2. CONSIDERATION WITH DISCUSSION, PUBLIC HEARINGS AND RECOMMENDATION Tom Carrino, City Manager, noted an email received from a member of the public related to the items on the Local Planning Agency (LPA) agenda. He noted confidence in the LPA's ability to consider Item 2.1 on the LPA agenda and, if they choose to transmit to the City Commission, Item 6.2 on the City Commission agenda. Out of an abundance of caution, Mr. Carrino asked if the LPA is interested in continuing items 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 to a date certain, December 13, 2022, for additional review. The LPA commented on pushing the items further back for review until certain work with the County on new land use and LDRs is worked through . Mr. Carrino asked the City Attorney, Derek Schroth, if the public is able to speak on the items. Attorney Schroth noted that the audience is entitled to speak as to the proposed continuance whether to approve or deny, if they wish. Mr. Schroth opened the public hearing at 5:51 p.m. There being no comments, Mr. Schroth closed the public hearing at 5:51 p.m. Chairman Holland asked for a motion to continue the items until December 13, 2022. Ms. Cobb motioned and Mr. Hawkins seconded. Chairman Holland noted a revision of the motion to clarify the next steps as discussed . Mr. Schroth asked the applicant if he wished to speak. The applicant, Major Stacey, introduced himself and noted that he was available to answer any questions and thanked the LPA. Chairman Holland asked for an amendment to the motion to continue the proposed items until the LPA receives confirmation from Tallahassee. No further discussion.
