EVANSTON CITY COUNCIL Second Regular M eeting April 18, 2017 The official record of proceedings of the second regular m eeting of the Evanston City Council for the m onth of April was held in the Council Cham bers of City Hall on the above date. These proceedings were video recorded. Councilm an Mike Sellers led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Kent W illiam s called the m eeting to order at 5:30 p.m . and welcom ed everyone present. Council Comments Councilm em ber Sellers encouraged everyone to attend the Sm all Business Network Expo tom orrow evening at the Machine Shop. Councilm em ber Schuler thanked the Police Benevolent Association for putting on the Easter Egg Hunt and all they do for the com m unity. Ms. Schuler also rem inded everyone of the next Meet & Greet on W ednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Recreation Center. Mayor W illiam s com m ented on the recent visit from Senator Enzi stating that it was a good visit and that he appreciated the Senator taking the tim e to visit our City.  Special Presentation/Crime Stoppers Councilm em ber Lynch and Lieutenant Ken Pearson recognized and honored Tara Lawler for all she does for the Crim e Stoppers organization and thanked her for being a true com m unity leader. Public Hearing/Trade of Property City Attorney Dennis Boal conducted a Public Hearing to receive public inform ation, input and objections regarding the proposed trade of the real property between the City of Evanston and the Uinta County School District #1. City Clerk, Am y Grenfell gave an overview of the proposed land trade. Superintendent of Uinta County School District #1, Ryan Thom as spoke in favor of the proposed trade. No one else spoke on the issue and Mr. Boal closed the hearing. Consent Agenda Councilmember W elling moved, Councilmember Sellers seconded, to approve a Parade Route requested by NVAR/VFW for the National Veterans Aw areness Ride on Thursday, M ay 18, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Exit 3 and ending on 9th Street betw een M ain Street and Front Street; A Street Closure Permit requesting by NVAR/VFW for the National Veterans Aw areness Ride on Thursday, M ay 18, 2017 on 9th Street from Front Street to M ain Street, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and A Limited M alt Beverage Permit requested by Skyler Neibaur, for a M onster Truck Insanity Tour Event to be held at the Uinta County Fair Grounds on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The m otion passed unanim ously with 7 yes votes: W illiam s, Kopp, Lynch, Perkes, W elling, Meyer, Schuler.
