EVANSTON CITY COUNCIL Second Regular M eeting August 21, 2018 The official record of proceedings of the second regular m eeting of the Evanston City Council for the m onth of August was held in the Council Cham bers of City Hall on the above date. These proceedings were video recorded. Mayor W illiam s led those in attendance in the pledge of allegiance to the Flag. The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Kent W illiam s called the m eeting to order at 5:30 p.m . and welcom ed everyone present. Council Comments Mayor W illiam s and the City Councilm em bers read a press release announcing that Evanston Urban Renewal/Main Street has been nam ed a 2019 Great Am erican Main Street Award (GAMSA) Sem ifinalist by the National Main Street Center. W inners will be announced at the Main Street Now Conference in Seattle, W ashington, on March 25, 2019. The Mayor and Councilm em bers all com m ented on what a great honor it is to be a sem ifinalist and congratulated those involved in receiving this honor. Councilm em ber Schuler rem inded everyone of Cowboy Day’s and encouraged everyone to attend and support this great annual event. Councilm em ber Lynch invited everyone to attend the annual Rotary Labor Day Breakfast. Mayor W illiam s com m ented that it is election day and encouraged anyone that hasn’t voted to do so. ORDINANCE 18-03: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, W YOMING AMENDING SECTION 7-7 OF THE CITY CODE TO ADOPT THE 2018 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE, THE 2018 INTERNATIO NAL RESIDENTIAL CODE FOR ONE AND TW O FAMILY DW ELLINGS, THE 2018 INTERNATIONAL EXISTING BUILDING CODE, THE 2018 INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE, THE 2018 INTERNATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE, THE 2018 INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE AND THE 2017 NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE. RESOLUTION 18-59: A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE FINAL PLAT FOR THE AARON ADDITION, A SUBDIVISION W ITHIN THE CITY OF EVANSTON, W YOMING AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN. W HEREAS, Stephen C. Aaron, Barbara J. McFadden, Am anda J. McFadden, Sean McFadden, the Stephanie Aaron Trust, the Sheridan G. RESOLUTION 18-60: RESOLUTION OF THE CITY O F EVANSTON, W YOMING, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A CASELLE SOFTW ARE & SERVICES PRO PO SAL TO PROVIDE THE CITY W ITH IMPROVED SOFTW ARE SERVICES. W HEREAS, the Caselle, Inc. has subm itted to the City a proposal for software services which will increase and im prove the com puter services that will be available for use by the City; NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, W YOMING THAT: Section 1: The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept and execute on behalf of the City of Evanston the Caselle Software and Services Proposal , a copy of which is attached hereto, to im prove and increase the software services that will be available for use by the City. W HEREAS, the City of Evanston Police Departm ent has found that inspections of tobacco retailers can help reduce underage sm oking within the com m unity; and W HEREAS, m oney is available from the W yom ing Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs to help fund tobacco com pliance inspections; NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the City of Evanston, W yom ing as follows: Section 1. The Mayor, City Clerk and Police Departm ent are authorized to sign the Tobacco Inspection Contract with the W yom ing Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs to help fund tobacco com pliance inspections, a copy of which is attached hereto.
