EVANSTON CITY COUNCIL Special Meeting April 23, 2019 The official record of proceedings for a special meeting of the Evanston City Council was held in the Conference Room of City Hall on the above date. The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Kent Williams called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Those present from the governing body at the start of meeting were: Mayor Williams; Councilmembers; Tim Lynch, Tim Ottley, Evan Perkes, Mike Sellers and Mikal Welling. Councilmember David Welling was excused. Staff members present were: City Attorney, Dennis Boal; City Clerk, Nancy Stevenson; City Treasurer, Trudy Lym; Community Development Director, Rocco O’Neill; Director of Engineering and Planning, Dean Barker; Public Works Director, Gordon Robinson; Parks and Recreation Director, Scott Ehlers; and Police Lieutenant, Ken Pearson. Police Chief, Jon Kirby was excused. Approve Agenda Councilmember M. Welling moved, Councilmember Lynch seconded, to approve the agenda. The motion passed unanimously with 6 yes votes: Williams, Lynch, Ottley, Perkes, Sellers, M. Welling. Resolution 19-20 Councilmember Lynch introduced Resolution 19-20. Councilmember Sellers moved, Councilmember Sellers seconded, to adopt Resolution 19-20. RESOLUTION 19-20: A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE FINAL PLAT FOR THE BASK ADDITION, A SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE CITY OF EVANSTON, WYOMING AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN. WHEREAS, Bask, Inc. a Wyoming corporation, (the “Subdivider”), has made application to the governing body of the City of Evanston, Wyoming for approval and authorization of the proposed subdivision entitled the Bask Addition, a subdivision located within the City of Evanston, Wyoming; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston finds that said subdivision is a minor subdivision and can be approved pursuant to Section 22-10 of the Evanston City Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the City of Evanston, Wyoming, that: Section 1. The final plat of the Bask Addition is hereby approved, accepted and authorized and described in particularity as follows, to-wit: The “Bask Addition” as it appears on the plat is a subdivision of part of the NE ¼ SW ¼ and the SE ¼ NW ¼ of Section 20, T15N, R120W, 6TH P.M., in the City of Evanston, Uinta County, Wyoming, said “Bask Addition” being more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the Southwest corner of said Section 20, running thence N 0°14'00" W, 2723.61 feet along the West line thereof; thence N 89°46'00" E, 1511.14 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, said point of beginning being the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1 of the Wooley Addition to the City of Evanston; thence S 84°02'00" E, 300.23 feet along the South right-of-way line of Harrison Drive to the Northwest corner of Lot 3, Block 1 of said Wooley Addition thence the following three (3) courses along the boundary of said Wooley Addition: S 5°58'00" W, 230.00 feet; thence N 84°02'00" W, 300.23 feet; thence N 5°58'00" E, 230.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Said tract containing 1.585 acres, more or less . Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enforce the mandates of chapter 22 of the Code of the City Evanston with regard to the filing of the final plat with the County Clerk of Uinta County, Wyoming as by law required.
