CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING Minutes from Meeting on April 25, 2019 I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting commenced at 10:01 a.m. Those in attendance were Ann Kazen, Kay Barnes, Michael Duerr, Joe Neussendorfer, and Deana Dean. II. ROLL CALL OF THE COMMISSION Present were Commission Chair Roland Behee, Commissioner Janice Greene, and Legal Counsel Amy Allison. Commissioner Eileen Simmons had an excused absence. III. SUBMITTAL AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Commissioner Greene moved to approve the minutes of the March 28, 2019 meeting. Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. IV. REVIEW OF THE PERSONNEL ACTION REPORT Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Personnel Action Report for March 2019. Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. V. OLD BUSINESS A. Approval of Eligible Registers 1. Water Quality Analyst (Open/Competitive) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Eligible Register for Water Quality Analyst (Open/Competitive). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 2. Bus Operator (Open/Continuous) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Eligible Register for Bus Operator (Open/Continuous). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 3. Police Property Room Specialist (Open/Competitive) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Eligible Register for Police Property Room Specialist (Open/Competitive). The motion was approved. 5. Fire Inspector (Promotional) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Eligible Register for Fire Inspector (Promotional). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 6. Assistant Fire Marshal (Promotional) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Eligible Register for Assistant Fire Marshal (Promotional). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. VI. NEW BUSINESS A. Class Specifications and Call for Applicants (CFAs) 1. Approve the Call for Applicants for Equipment Mechanic (Open/Competitive) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Call for Applicants for Equipment Mechanic (Open/Competitive). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 2. Approve the Call for Applicants for Paratransit Operator (Open/Continuous) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Call for Applicants for Paratransit Operator (Open/Continuous). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 3. Approve the Call for Applicants for Firefighter Paramedic (Promotional) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Call for Applicants for Firefighter Paramedic (Promotional). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 4. Approve the Call for Applicants for Assistant Inventory Control/Dispatch Technician (Open/Competitive) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Call for Applicants for Assistant Inventory Control/Dispatch Technician (Open/Competitive). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. 5. Approve the Call for Applicants for Supervisor II – Motor Vehicle Department (Promotional) Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Call for Applicants for Supervisor II – Motor Vehicle Department (Promotional). OTHER BUSINESS Chief Examiner Michael Duerr discussed the Call for Applicants for Entry Level Police Officer noting the filing opening date of March 31, 2019 and closing date of May 30, 2019. Commissioner Greene moved to approve the Call for Applicants for Police Officer Entry Level (Open/Continuous). Commissioner Behee seconded the motion. The motion was approved. VIII.
