CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING Minutes from Meeting on January 23, 2020 I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting commenced at 10:01 am. Those in attendance were Kay Barnes, Chelan Robbins, Chelsi Foote, Mike Duerr, and Joe Neussendorfer. II. ROLL CALL OF THE COMMISSION Present were Commissioner Eileen Simmons, Commissioner Ethel McNeal and Legal Counsel Jordan Stephens, Commission Chair Roland Behee was absent. III. SUBMITTAL AND APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Commissioner Simmons moved to approve the minutes of the December 19, 2019 meeting. Commissioner McNeal seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. IV. REVIEW OF THE PERSONNEL ACTION REPORT Commissioner Simmons moved to approve the Personnel Action Report for December 2019. Commissioner McNeal seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. V. REVIEW OF THE CHIEF EXAMINER CERTIFICATIONS Commissioner Simmons moved to approve the Chief Examiner Certifications for December 2019. Commissioner McNeal seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. VI. OLD BUSINESS VII. NEW BUSINESS A. Class Specifications Revised 1. Approve the Revised Class Specification for Police Officer Full Performance Chief Examiner Mike Duerr explained that the revisions were made to keep the City of Everett required education and experience in line with the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission’s requirements. Commissioner Simmons moved to approve the Revised Class Specification for Police Officer Full Performance. Commissioner McNeal seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously. VIII.
