CITY OF EVERETT PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY – November 7, 2017 Location: William E. Moore - Historic City Hall Time: 6:30 p.m. City Council Chambers 3002 Wetmore Avenue Everett, Washington AGENDA -Planning Commission Roll Call -Approval of Minutes -Reports of members and committees – Staff comments – Citizen Comments Item 1: Opiate Substitution Treatment Facility A public hearing to consider amendments to the zoning code regarding the siting of opiate substitution treatment facilities. The zoning code currently allows only one such facility in the C-1 or E-1 zone located south of SR-526, and in hospital facilities within the city. The amendments being considered would allow for one additional opiate substitution treatment facility, not located in a hospital. The potential locations where such a facility would be allowed are a) (staff proposal) in the BMU (Broadway Mixed Use) zone located north of 24th Street; or b) (Planning Commission addition) in the B-3 (Central Business District) zone except on retail streets as designated on Map No. 22-2 of the zoning code.
