Changed it to OctoberFeast like a potluck where every vendor has something with a fall flair. It is the only time of the year when the center has been sanctioned for the vendors to talk with the seniors. This year OctoberFeast raised $3400 which will cover all of expenses for the USO dance.  USO Dance: will be run by Eric. He will let Lisa know about whether or not they are veterans.  Request to change the day of the meeting: Discussion followed about changing the day of the meeting. The value of the current day and time is that the Board has had a quorum much more frequently. If all Advisory Board members can still attend on a different day at 8 a.m. the Board members present were happy to change the day of the meeting. If not all Advisory Board members can attend on a different day the meeting will remain on the third Tuesday of the month at 8 a.m. GUEST PRESENTATION- ERIC WOLLAN  Eric Wollan spoke with the board regarding volunteers, “It’s what drives this place.” The average amount of volunteer time at the center is 20,000 hours per year… imagine how many employees that would be.  Wollan spoke about the van trips and noted that we now have access to the Parks & Recreation van with a lift if we need to take people in wheelchairs.  New security cameras are up and running, already working. Identified someone sleeping out front yesterday. All entrances and parking lot are monitored. Can also add more cameras to the system if we need. Is activated based on movement and has a memory.
