Announcements & Requests to Add Agenda Items  There was considerable discussion regarding the Climate Action Plan approved by City Council and expectations concerning TAC’s involvement with the transportation-related components. o Ryan stated that he would like to bring those components forward for the committee to read and discuss.  Tyler expressed that the Bicycle Master Plan would be a helpful tool as it outlines how the creation of better bicycle infrastructure within the City would help the transportation-related environmental components of the Climate Action Plan.  Tim and Ryan gave the committee a brief overview regarding traffic impact mitigation fees charged developments. Each development has a computed trip generation based on national statistics of similar developments. Each is assessed a trip generation mitigation fee based on the number of trips. The City is currently implementing a direct count program with Boeing to assess their overall trip generation. This will allow us to determine whether their current trip generation falls within their allocated maximum trips. If they exceed that number, Boeing will pay a trip mitigation fee for the extra trips. The Boeing direct count program will be activated this summer.  Tyler noted that a new crosswalk was placed at 47th and Rucker Ave near the new YMCA that is more than 80 feet in crossing length. He expressed concern for the safety of individuals using that crosswalk and how he regularly observes reckless driving in that neighborhood. o Ryan responded that he wants to take another look at that crosswalk to ensure that it is safe for pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles. He noted that there are a couple of options the City could pursue if it currently does not meet City safety standards.
