EVERSON-NOOKSACK WASTEWATER STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING Agenda October 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM 1. ROLL CALL 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES a.) Approval of Minutes - June 8 2022 3. COMMITTEE BUSINESS a.) Approval of minutes John Hammond made a motion to approve the minutes of the September 28th meeting, seconded by Marshall Judy. Motion carried with one abstain. 3-1 COMMITTEE BUSINESS a.) WWTP Dave updated the committee on upcoming expenses for the WWTP. Lynden has loaned a temporary UV system to Everson to try out. b.) Collection System Two inceptor lift pumps need to be purchased for $10,000 each. Everson has sent cameras down sewer lines in the majority of the City and found issues with water coming in to the lines. It is requested that Nooksack also camera their lines to assess and I & I issues. Dave will send Nooksack the per foot price. Jared plans to do audits on all lift stations and man holes in late summer/early fall. Rollin discussed the sewer comprehensive plan. The last one was completed in 2013. This needs to be updated to be included in the cities' overall comprehensive plans due in 2025. Everson has done RFQs for both sewer and water recently to get started on this. An application has been put in with FEMA for funding to armor the WWTP. The WWTP won an award for 2021 management. This is the 3rd year in a row it has been obtained. ADJOURNMENT John Hammond made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Marshall Judy. Motion carried with unanimous approval. 5-0.
