Parks and Recreation Commission Meetings and Work Sessions

City of Excelsior Hennepin County, Minnesota Minutes Park and Recreation Commission Tuesday, September 11, 2018 1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL Chair Wolfe called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Commissioners present: Wolfe, Sobiech, Mullenbach, Berghorst, Rogney (arrived at 6:30 p.m.), and Wahlstedt. Commissioners Absent: Honzl Also present: Public Works Superintendent Tim Amundsen, Deb Rogers, Eric Snyder from Community for the Commons(C4C) and Eric Paulsen, resident, and Bartlett tree expert. 2. THE COMMONS TREE ADOPTION AND PROPOSED TREE REMOVALS Commissioners walked the park with others in attendance to go over tree inventory to implement the removal of dangerous and diseased and those selected for adoption. Sobiech moved, Mullenbach seconded, to use available Park funds to adopt a tree, The Commission will determine the amount at the October Park and Recreation Commission Meeting. Motion carried 6/0. 3. ROTARY CONCERTS IN THE PARK AGREEMENT Deb Rogers from Community for The Commons, briefed the Park and Recreation Commission on the new agreement. Sobiech moved, Berghorst seconded, to recommend approval as written for approval by City Council. Motion carried 6/0. 4. ADJOURNMENT Mullenbach Moved, Berghorst seconded, to adjourn at 8:30 pm.
