Architectural Advisory Board Meeting Agenda
Wednesday February 10, 2020 7:30PM
1. Call to Order – The meeting was called to order at 7:33pm
2. Reading of Virtual Meeting Notice – The notice was read by Mr. Hollern
3. Roll Call – Mr. Bitici, Mr. Osburn, Mrs. Friedlander, Mr. Way were present. Mr. Wong
was absent. Mr. Stevens, Mr. Lankford, Mr. Ng were also present.
4. New Business
a. The City Hall Public Space & Safety Improvements project team is looking
for feedback from the Architectural Advisory Board on bike shelter options
for City Hall. Includes presentation by staff.

Staff presented the City memo and shelter options.
The Board concurred with city recommendation of Ridgefield option. The
general color selections proposed are also optimal but City should
consider a roof color close to the bus shelters as opposed to the bronze
tint. City could also consider alternative locations to avoid a reduction in
valuable parking spaces (and farmer’s market vendor spaces.) The Board
acknowledged the environmental merits of bicycle transportation but
noted that other locations for the shelter could be considered while
retaining parting spaces and meeting any LEED or other requirements.
b. Administrative Business: Adoption of 2021 AAB Meeting Calendar
- Draft 2021 AAB Meeting Calendar – The 2021 calendar was accepted
unanimously
c. Administrative Business: Adoption of 2021 AAB Rules and Procedures
- Draft 2021 AAB Rules and Procedures – The revised Rules and Procedures
were accepted unanimously
d. Administrative Business: Adoption of Minutes
A motion to accept the September, October, and November minutes was made by
Mr. Osburn, seconded by Mr. Bitici, and approved unanimously.
5. Adjournment – The meeting was adjourned at 8:11pm

Public comments may be submitted to jhollern@fallschurchva.gov until 7:30PM on February 10,
2020. All comments will be provided to the Architectural Advisory Board members and comments
received by the deadline will be read during the meeting.
