Arts and Humanities Council of Falls Church Meeting December 15, 2016 Dogwood Room City Hall Minutes / Notes Members Present: Barb Cram, Laura Hull, Midge Wang, Nikki Henderson Officials Present: Corey Jannicelli, Ingram Racine, Also Present: Keith Thurston (non-voting TLCC Foundation), Lucy Lieberman The meeting was called to order with a quorum present by Chair Barb Cram at 9:40 am. The minutes were reviewed and accepted. Draft Vision Chapter of the Comp Plan Paul Stoddard of the Planning Staff briefed the ACH on the draft revision of the Vision Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan. The plan focus is the next 20 years for the development of the City. The Vision Statement is a “broadly held public value”. The plan is place dependent. The new plans have a shorter vision section plus a listing of core principles. They have received about 900 comments on the draft Vision Chapter thus far and invite the ACH to submit comments. The presentation of the key portions of the Vision Statement was made. Use of Logos The LLC Foundation will email out electronic files of the logo to grantees. The logo is to be used on materials supporting any events that are supported in part by the grants. MLK Day Event Jan 16, 2017 The Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation is sponsoring a new event on MLK Day with a march from the Tinner Hill Monument to City Hall beginning at 1 pm. A forum with a panel will be held in City Chambers starting at 2PM. Mason Row Progress There is a meeting with the developers of Mason Row at 3 pm in the Community Center to talk about the VCs for the public performance space in the market square. Free Performance Feb 25, 2017 The Washington Sinfonietta will perform a free concert on February 25, 2017 at 7:30 pm. At The Falls Church Episcopal ACH Meeting Schedule for 2017 The ACH will meet monthly on the third Thursdays at 9:30 as it regular meeting time.
