NVTA Six Year Program Candidate Projects: NVTA staff recommendations 1. Public Comment: • There was no public comment. 2. Action item: Approval of April 2018 and May 2018 Meeting Minutes: • Lacking a quorum, meeting minutes were not approved. 3. Committee Reports: • There were no committee members reports. 4. Staff Reports: • Jeff reported that the City was collecting traffic data at several locations around the City for new requests and to determine effectiveness of both light and heavy measures on several projects. • He indicated that a new Transportation Engineer would start work on July 9 • Bike to Work Day occurred on May 18th despite the rain. Over 380 signed up for the CFC pit stop. • The City will be awarded a large grant from NVTA for new infrastructure work at the WFC redevelopment site • NOVA Parks will also be awarded a NVTA grant for construction of the W&OD dual-trail project 5. Information Item: CACT 2018 Priority Tracking Sheet: • There was no discussion of progress on the tracking sheet. 6. Discussion Item: Founder’s (Mason) Row Special Exception Project • On June 11, the City Council referred the Special exception project Founder’s Row, formerly Mason Row, to boards and commissions for comments which are due on July 20, 2018. The CACT had received a presentation by the developer in 2015 and had developed extensive comments that were submitted to Planning staff. • Staff had provide the CACT a number of transportation related document provided by the applicant including the new staff report, previous CACT comments, the TDM plan, trip generation report and parking reduction plan. • It was decided to use the original CACT comments as a framework for the new response and that Dave Gustafson would take the lead in responding. • The comments will be voted on by the entire CACT at the July 19th Meeting.
