Downtown parking — is updated parking map ready for distribution/promotion? Status of road- painting (refreshing crosswalks, on-street parking spaces, etc.)? 6. Update on filling commercial space vacancies: West End Shopping Center (KLNB); West Falls Plazas (Federal Realty) 7. Update on underperforming commercial spaces: Carpet store at Broad & West (how long can signs be posted saying “going out of business?”); Virginia Inn/former FC Florist (proposed renovation?); Stratford. 8. Plans for expenditure in FY19-20 of transient occupancy tax revenue. 9. Park Ave. improvements — update? 10. Anticipated business groundbreakings/openings before end of Q2 on 12/31/18: Advantage Trainers in Southgate Nov. 1 6pm; Patient First in Broadway Dec. 13 4-6pm; Sarah’s Custard in Lincoln (see above)?; new tenant for former Argia’s space?; Falls Church Bakeshop in Southgate?; The Athlete Development Center at Southgate (already operating; any formal opening event?); Master Engravers in Rowell Court; Dominion Wine & Beer’s new restaurant in Rowell Court (already operating; any formal opening event?). 11. Discuss creating/regularly updating a “deck” of business-related metrics — e.g., commercial vacancy rate, ground floor vacancy rate, towing report, choosefallschurch.org website usage...monitor these regularly to gauge the "health" of economic development, beyond the revenue numbers. 12.
