MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER: Members: Tim Stevens (Chair), Chris Thompson, Jon
Ward, Kate Walker (City Liaison)
Tim expressed appreciation for returning to City Hall to hold ETS
meetings, and welcomed Kate back from her absence.
Ongoing Business
- Promotion of EVs: Tim and Kate explained Erika Myer’s plans for
holding two information events at the August 3 and 10 farmer’s market.
Tables would be set up at the front (near the front charge stations) and
at the rear (near the back charge stations). Volunteers from ETS/ESC
will answer questions people have regarding EV ownership and
operation. Erika will bring her Leaf EV to demonstrate operation,
assisted by an organization called Steer that leases EVs on a short-term
basis.
- Tim expressed interest in having a ceremony to celebrate the
availability of the new charging stations at City Hall.
- Kate explained that she is tracking energy usage at City Hall before and
after renovation, and that preliminary data indicate that electricity
usage has declined by approximately 25%.
- Tim shared efforts underway to improve coordination of work
between ESC and ETS.
- Chris Thompson shared information about his new solar PV system,
including energy tracking capabilities
