City of Falls Church
The reason for this letter is due to the rent increases to clients of the mentioned property. In reference
to the paragraph 26 of the contact already signed by residents.
In the same contract is the paragraph 29 which also indicates the property owner is responsible for the
buildings to be structurally safe and sound.
By this we mean we want to express some of the conditions in which the mentioned building is found.
This is the reason why we do not agree with the increase.
1. The 1st level floors are full of humidity and mold, especially during the winter.
2. The main doors are insecure, old and without a key, easily manipulated to enter the apartment
or to the building.
3. The bathroom windows do not open.
4. The ceiling has cracks due to the bad quality paint.
5. The washing and drying machines are not functioning properly.
6. There have been problems with mice and roaches for many years and they have not been able
to control.
7. The cabinets in the kitchen are in a bad state.
8. The carpets are not replaced.
9. The air filters are of bad quality.
These are some of the problems we are experiencing.
We hope the owners and administrators of the apartments of The Fields of Falls Church consider this
communication. We hope that they consider we are not fully recovered economically from the
pandemic.
In the name of all those who signed (this letter) and realizing the rent payments made to the office of
The Fields of Falls Church, we cordially thank the City of Falls Church and their administrators for all the
support last year during the pandemic. Thanks to them rent was paid each month during such difficult
times.
We are very much appreciative of your attention to this letter.
Sincerely,
Residents of the Fields of Falls Church, VA
