Code §551.127, notice is hereby given that (i) one or more City Council members may be participating on a regular, non-emergency basis in this meeting by video conference, (ii) the location of the meeting will be at Farmers Branch City Hall, 13000 William Dodson Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas, where a quorum of the City Council will be physically present, which location will be open to the public, and (iii) it is the intent to have the quorum of members of the City Council present at said location for this meeting. A.2 23-219 Discuss potential ordinances regarding electric vehicle charging and solar ready requirements in new construction. ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST Pursuant to Section 551.0415 of the Texas Government Code, the City Council or City Administration may report information on the following items: 1) expression of thanks, congratulations or condolences, 2) information about holiday schedules, 3) recognition of individuals, 4) reminders about upcoming City events, 5) information about community events, and 6) announcements involving an imminent threat to public health and safety, and 7) reports from Council Liaisons to supported organizations. I. DISCUSS THE STATE OF THE CITY J. CONSENT AGENDA J.1 23-263 Consider approving the following City Council meeting minutes; and take appropriate action. · May 2, 2023 Regular Meeting J.2 R2023-072 Consider approving Resolution No. 2023-072 authorizing the City Manager to approve the purchase of one new Chevrolet Colorado Pickup Truck in the amount of $30,960 from Caldwell Chevrolet through the Texas Buyboard Purchasing Contract; and take appropriate action. J.3 R2023-073 Consider approving Resolution No. 2023-073 authorizing the City Manager to approve the purchase of one new Chevrolet Silverado Pickup Truck in the amount of $42,840 from Caldwell Chevrolet through the Texas Buyboard Purchasing Contract; and take appropriate action. J.4 R2023-077 Consider approving Resolution No. 2023-077 supporting the City’s application to the Texas Department of Transportation 2023 Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TA) Call for Projects, and take appropriate action. K. PUBLIC HEARINGS L. L.2 23-279 Receive an update from the Woven Health Clinic and consider approving funding for the 2023-24 Fiscal Year; and take appropriate action. L.3 R2023-078 Consider approving Resolution No. 2023-078 authorizing the City Manager to approve the purchase of one new Dodge Ambulance in the amount of $317,325 from Mac Haik Dodge through the HGAC Purchasing Contract; and take appropriate action. L.4 23-262 Elect Mayor Pro Tem and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem; and take appropriate action M. TAKE ANY ACTION NECESSARY AS A RESULT OF THE CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION N. CITIZEN COMMENTS Public Comment is your opportunity to address your City of Farmers Branch elected officials directly about issues that are important to and your community, but there is a process that must be followed : Speaker request form(s) will be accepted by the City Secretary from the time the agenda is posted up to 30 minutes prior to the regular meeting. Individuals will not be recognized to speak during the meeting unless the Citizen Comments form has been submitted. This process applies to all action items listed on the agenda. Speaker Request Online Form: https://www.farmersbranchtx.gov/101/City-Council There is a three (3) minute time limit for each citizen to speak with a reasonable limitation on speakers on one topic or item with a maximum of fifteen (15) total minutes on the same topic item. Anyone wishing to speak shall be courteous and cordial. No disparaging or inflammatory remarks directed at any member of the City Council or City staff will be allowed. When called by the Mayor, please approach the podium and state your name and address prior to beginning your comment. If you have written notes you wish to present to Mayor and Council, please furnish an extra copy for the official files. Audio/visual presentations must be submitted in advance to the City Secretary. Please direct your comments to the City Council and not the audience. O. ADJOURNMENT The City Council may convene into executive session at anytime during the Study Session or Regular meeting pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071(2) for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney on any agenda item. Farmers Branch City Hall is wheelchair accessible. Access to the building and special parking are available at the main entrance facing William Dodson Parkway. Persons with disabilities planning to attend this meeting who are deaf, hearing impaired or who may need auxiliary aids such as sign interpreters or large print, are requested to contact the City Secretary at (972) 919-2503 at least 72 hours prior to the meeting.
