Dodson Pkwy Farmers Branch, TX 75234 Meeting Agenda Planning and Zoning Commission Monday, September 9, 2019 7:00 PM City Hall Study Session Meeting to be held at 6:00 PM in Study Session Room Additionally, the agenda packet is available for download from the City’s web site at www.farmersbranchtx.gov. This download may be accessed from any computer with Internet access, including computers at the Manske Library and in the lobby of City Hall. Any individual who wishes to speak on an agenda item should fill out a Registration Form for Appearance before the Planning and Zoning Commission (white card located in the back of the Council Chambers) and submit the completed card to City Administration member prior to the start of the meeting. A. STUDY SESSION A.1 19-421 Discuss Regular Agenda items. A.2 19-442 Discuss the city’s platting processes. A.3 19-443 Receive a report regarding zoning and development cases acted upon by City Council. A.4 19-422 Discuss agenda items for future Planning and Zoning Commission consideration. B. CITIZEN COMMENTS City of Farmers Branch Page 1 Printed on 7/8/2021 Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Agenda September 9, 2019 This agenda item provides an opportunity for citizens to address the Planning and Zoning Commission on any matter that is not posted on the agenda. Anyone wishing to address the Planning and Zoning Commission should complete a Citizen Comments Registration Card and submit it to the Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman prior to the start of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. There is a three (3) minute time limit for each citizen to speak with a limit of five (5) speakers on one topic or item with a maximum of fifteen total minutes on the same topic item. Anyone wishing to speak shall be courteous and cordial. No disparaging or inflammatory remarks directed at any member of the Planning and Zoning Commission or City staff will be allowed. The Planning and Zoning Commission is not permitted to take action on any subject raised by a speaker during Citizen Comments. However, the Planning and Zoning Commission may have the item placed on a future agenda for action; refer the item to the Director of Planning for further study or action; briefly state existing City policy; or provide a brief statement of factual information in response to the inquiry. C. REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS C.1 19-423 Consider approval of the Attendance Matrix for the Planning and Zoning Commission as presented; and take appropriate action. C.2 19-424 Consider approval of the August 26, 2019 Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes; and take appropriate action. C.3 19-SP-12 Consider a request for a Detailed Site Plan amendment for a hotel and structured parking on 4.78-acres located at 5000 and 5050 Alpha Road; and take appropriate action. D. PUBLIC HEARING D.1 18-SP-36 Conduct a public hearing and consider a request for a Detailed Site Plan and associated Special Exceptions for a multi-family residential development on a 0.76-acre lot located at 13325 Bee Street; and take appropriate action. D.2 18-SU-16 Conduct a public hearing and consider the request for a Specific Use Permit and an associated Detailed Site Plan with a Special Exception for a hotel on a 1.94-acre property located at the northeast corner of Mira Lago Boulevard and Mira Lago Boulevard; and take appropriate action. E. ADJOURNMENT This Board or Commission may convene into executive session at anytime during the meeting pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (2) for the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney on any agenda item.
