COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMISION Regular Meeting APRIL 3, 2017 Civic Center Members Present: Melissa Meechan, Lynn Love, Wiley Bates, Alicia Middleton and David John Members Absent: Cathryn Abeyta and Harelda Anderson Staff Present: Julie Baird, Ass’t City Manager and Joanna Oliver, Secretary Guest Present: CALL TO ORDER Melissa Meechan called the meeting to order at 4:05 pm without a quorum of members present; the following procedures were duly had and taken. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes of March 6, 2017 were tabled to May meeting. OPEN RESOLUTION Open Resolution was tabled to May meeting. OUTREACH AND EDUCATION UPDATES The Commissioners had a roundtable discussion regarding their participation in activities for the last month. OLD COMMISSION BUSINESS NEW COMMISSION BUSINESS  Lynn Love reported on the last CHAP meeting. Jennifer Lopez gave the Toolkit presentation on how to bring permanent housing into the State of New Mexico for the homeless.  The commission discussed the need for new members. Need to try and recruit people that share the same passion as those on the board.
