COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMISION Meeting Minutes APRIL 2, 2018 City Hall Members Present: Lynn Love, Harelda Anderson, Cheri Floyd, Diana Kinney, Sherrie Chenault Members Absent: Staff Present: Julie Baird, Ass’t City Manager and Joanna Oliver, Secretary CALL TO ORDER Chairman Lynn Love called the meeting to order at 4:03 pm without a quorum of members present. Sherrie Chenault arrived at 4:14 to form a quorum so the following procedures were duly had and taken. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Harelda Anderson made a motion to approve the March 5, 2018 minutes. Cheri Floyd seconded. Motion carried. OPEN MEETING RESOLUTION Diana Kinney made a motion to accept and approve the FY19 Open Meeting Resolution, Harelda Anderson seconded. Motion carried. CIVILITY FIRST Lynn Love stated that he would like to meet with the Commission outside of the regular meetings to discuss the Civility First Marketing. He asked that each of the Commissioners look at the 10 traits and determine what Civility First means to them. They will meet on April 10th at 5:00 to discuss their strategy. The Commission had a short discussion regarding utilizing various outside companies available to help with marketing. I GOT YOUR BACK CAMPAIGN The Commission will have dinner with Eric Martinez tomorrow night at Olive Garden. The Commission had a short discussion regarding his schedule. The public meeting will be held at the San Juan College on Thursday, April 5th at 6:30 p.m. The CRC will have a booth set up. OLD COMMISSION BUSINESS  Grant Info – Lynn Love asked Harelda if she would finalize the grant/scholarship application and then oversee that portion. Tabled the Grant process to May meeting for further discussion and review. GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS  The Executive Conference Room will be under renovations starting middle of May so the July, August and September meetings will be held in the Council Chambers. We will need to determine where to hold the June meeting.  Lynn Love stated that he will be on vacation from May 24th through the first week of June so will not be at the June meeting.  Joanna Oliver gave an overview of the CHAP meeting that was held on March 29, 2018.
