COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMISION Meeting Minutes DECEMBER 2, 2019 City Hall Members Present: Larry Moore, Cheri Floyd, Lynn Love, Diana Kinney, Sherrie Chenault and Pat Gross Members Absent: Staff Present: Julie Baird, Assistant City Manager and Georgette Allen, Public Affairs Administrator Guests Present: Sherry Roach and Mike Bulloch CALL TO ORDER Chairman Larry Moore called the meeting to order at 4:04 p.m. with a quorum of members present the following procedures were duly had and taken. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Lynn Love made a motion to approve the October 7, 2019 minutes. Motion was seconded by Diana Kinney. Pat Gross made a motion to approve the November 4, 2019 minutes. Motion was seconded by Cheri Floyd. DOWNTOWN PROJECT PRESENTATION Sherry Roach and Mike Bulloch gave an updated presentation to the Commissioners on the Downtown Project. They gave details on the overall look as well as the infrastructure improvements. The electrical upgrades have been completed in all the alleys at this time. There will be a total of 4 Gateway Signs ‐ 2 on each end of the Downtown Corridor. Mike Bulloch talked about some of the smaller projects that are happening now – the pocket parks and the art in the alleys. NEW BUSINESS Commissioners discussed the sponsorship application regarding the MLK Day of Service. After a short discussion Larry Moore was determined to sponsor them for $1,000. Joanna will contact Steve Clarke regarding the decision and payment. COMMISSION BUSINESS  Julie Baird stated that she is still working on getting information to the company that will be producing the banners for us.  Georgette Allen gave a tutorial on how to utilize the Dropbox. There was a short discussion on the types of information the Commissioners can share that would go along with the quarterly trait campaigns for next year.  Commissioners had a short discussion regarding the Owasso Website. ADJOURNMENT Meeting was adjourned at 5:14 p.m.
