COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMISION Meeting Minutes JANUARY 6, 2020 City Hall Members Present: Larry Moore, Cheri Floyd, Lynn Love, Diana Kinney, Sherrie Chenault Members Absent: Pat Gross Staff Present: Georgette Allen, Public Affairs Administrator Guests Present: None CALL TO ORDER Chairman Larry Moore called the meeting to order at 4:03 p.m. with a quorum of members present the following procedures were duly had and taken. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Diana Kinney made a motion to approve the December 2, 2019 minutes. Motion was seconded by Cheri Floyd. POLE BANNER PROOFS Georgette Allen presented the banner proofs to the Commission. After a short discussion, it was decided to go with the Civility First logo on the white background without the outline. Sherrie Chenault made a motion to approve. Motion was seconded by Cheri Floyd. Motion passed. NEW BUSINESS Lynn Love stated that new promotional items were needed to hand out to the Community for the Commission as well as the Civility First program. Diana Kinney stated that she would look into getting some ideas. Larry Moore stated that he would like to get the posters updated and some more printed out. Diana Kinney wanted to talk about the events in the coming year in which the Commission can participate. Georgette Allen stated that they could look at the CVB website for any events that are happening throughout the County. Diana Kinney will look into hosting a Focus on Coffee, Cheri Floyd will get information for a sign at Ricketts Park, Larry Moore will bring a list of events and inventory. COMMISSION BUSINESS  The Mayor has appointed 2 new Commissioners. They will be voted upon at the January 14th City Council Meeting and will join us at the February meeting.  Georgette Allen encouraged all the Commissioners to use the Dropbox for the Civility First Campaign, Kindness being the first quarterly trait.  Larry Moore recapped the segment of the Mayor’s Table in which he talked about Civility First Farmington. ADJOURNMENT Meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m. __________________________________ ______________________________ Larry Moore, Chairman Joanna Oliver, Secretary
