COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMISION Meeting Minutes FEBRUARY 3, 2020 City Hall Members Present: Larry Moore, Cheri Floyd, Lynn Love, Diana Kinney, Sherrie Chenault, Pate Gross, Dale Leedy and Jose Villarreal Members Absent: None Staff Present: Georgette Allen, Public Affairs Administrator and Joanna Oliver, Secretary Guests Present: None CALL TO ORDER Chairman Larry Moore called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. with a quorum of members present the following procedures were duly had and taken. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Lynn Love made a motion to approve the January 6, 2020 minutes. Motion was seconded by Cheri Floyd. All in favor, motion passed. PROMOTIONAL ITEMS/EVENTS Larry Moore stated that we have 7 cases of pens, 4 cases of wristbands and a case of pencils left out of the Civility First promotional items. There was a long discussion regarding the posters and whether we needed them anymore. Lynn Love will spearhead a committee regarding the use of the posters in the future. Diana Kinney brought up getting updated shirts with the new logos. She will get together type of shirts and pricing and bring to the March meeting. Cheri Floyd brought up the banner for Ricketts Park. She stated that they will have some spots available this spring. Cost for them to make and install banner would be $600 to $750. NEW BUSINESS None COMMISSION BUSINESS  Georgette Allen stated that the Downtown area needs more promotion during the construction project going on. Commissioners can spread the word that the business are still open.  Reminder to all Commissions that the trait for the first quarter is Kindness and we need to start putting information into the drop box for Georgette Allen’s use on the Civility First Facebook page. Georgette will send the link to the new commissioners.
