Please contact the MPO Administrative Assistant if a summary or other type of accessible format is needed. 2 FARMINGTON METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION Agenda Item #3 Subject: Status of Entity Projects Prepared by: MPO Staff & Technical Committee Members Date: June 12, 2024 BACKGROUND ▪ The STIP Protocols, finalized in early 2014, require that each MPO shall develop a process to monitor the progress and status of each project in the first two years of the TIP. These monthly reviews help correct inconsistencies in the TIP, STIP, the MPO’s MTP, Agreement Request Forms (ARFs), etc. and provide for discussion among the members and NMDOT representatives. ▪ Listed below are current entity projects some of which are part of the FFY2022-2027 TIP. ▪ The Policy Committee approved the new FFY2024-2029 TIP on June 22,2023, which will become effective on October 1, 2023. ATTACHMENT ▪ The Status Report Table of project updates received from Technical Committee members. Subsequent project updates will be presented by members during the committee meeting. CALL TO ORDER Nick Porell called the meeting to order at 10:02am. 2. APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE APRIL 10, 2024 TECHNICAL COMMITTEE MEETING MOTION – Andrew DiCamillo SECOND – Virginia King Andrew DiCamillo moved to approve the minutes from the April 10, 2024 Technical Committee meeting. Virginia King seconded the motion. The motion to approve the minutes passed unopposed. 3. FFY2025-2026 UPWP: Review the proposed FFY2025-2026 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) a. Review the final proposed FFY2025-2026 UPWP b. Hold a public hearing on the proposed FFY2025-2026 UPWP 7 c. REPORTS FROM NMDOT Planning Bureau – Shannon Glendenning Joanne Garcia is moving within division – new contact will be sent soon Other programmatic changes – New group – climate (long window with 11 Recreation trails awards coming out soon Hosting a safety summit in June – figuring out logistics – Highway Safety Plan – safe systems approach (vehicles, speeds, users, post-crash care) what is useful for you, improvements District 5 – Javier Martinez TPF projects (looking at now) Question for FMPO – City of Farmington submitted two, which prioritized? San Juan Blvd. (Virginia King) Peter Koeppel: Waiting for PFFs, will send letter tomorrow with rankings. Over 40 million in district and can only award 12 million DISCUSSION: Nick Porell: CMAC, TAP funding about the same? Yes, numbers about the same – given will write down later There was no further discussion form the committee. 7. BUSINESS FROM THE CHAIRMAN, MEMBERS AND STAFF Nick Porell: 8 am tomorrow – San Juan County public works in Aztec do spring coordinated clean up, meet at Nick’s office to help out if you can. There was no additional business from the Chairman, Members and Staff. 8. PUBLIC COMMENT ON ANY ISSUES NOT ON THE AGENDA There was no public comment on any issues not on the agenda. 9.
