Cruz May 7, 2025 FISCAL YEAR 2026 BUDGET REVIEW SCHEDULE Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2026 Budget and associated Budget Orders Note: A full listing of the numbered Orders, once received, will follow in an updated posting Thursday, May 15th: Mayor's Budget delivered to City Clerk's Office Tuesday, May 20th: Mayor’s budget and associated budget Orders appear on regular City Council meeting agenda for referral to Council as a Whole Committee Wednesday, May 28th: Council as a Whole Committee which begins immediately following Finance, at 6:00 PM: Legislative Building, 700 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA Mayor and Finance Team will formally present in detail the FY2026 budget to the City Council. Thursday, May 29th : Council as a Whole Committee which begins at 6:00 PM: Legislative Building, 700 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA Continuation of presentations in detail of the FY2026 budget to the City Council. Wednesday, June 4th – 12:00 PM: All proposed budget cuts and questions from City Councilors must be submitted to City Clerk. City Clerk will notify affected Departments. Monday, June 9th – 6:00 PM: Council as a Whole Committee Legislative Building, 700 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA City Council debate and vote on recommendations for budget. Finance Team and Heads of Departments facing cuts and/or questions to be present.
