MINUTES of OCTOBER 26, 2023 MEETING
PRESENT: George Bourque, Margaret Padovano, Jim Craigen, Todd Goodwin, Debbie Dion,
Amanda Koeck and Andrew Van Hazinga
ABSENT: Michele Morin, Bonnie Hautala, Joe Byrne and Pastor Annie Belmer
Meeting called to order at 1:00 PM NO OFFICIAL BUSINESS WAS CONDUCTED DUE TO
THE LACK OF A QUORUM.
MINUTES from September 28, 2023 Meeting: Not available today.
TREASURER’S REPORT: None
PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
*An update on Executive Director Jennifer Brennan’s Leave of Absence was presented to
the Board members. Brennan’s medical leave expires today, October 26, 2023, and she has
a doctor’s appointment today. HR will await communication from the doctor because
Brennan might be placed on disability.
*The Board discussed requesting an emergency meeting with HR so we can plan ahead if
Brennan is unable to return as Executive Director.
*Amanda Koeck has been appointed Acting Director of the Fitchburg Senior Center. Koeck
has received a minimal salary increase to compensate for her new responsibilities.
*Richard Doucette is expected to be appointed to the Council on Aging on November 8,
2023. Doucette is interested in accepting the Treasurer’s position.
*Clarification was given on Board members being held liable. The Board is covered by the
City’s insurance.
