MEETING MINUTES
In attendance: Joe Bowen(chair), Shara Osgood(secretary), Catherine Healy, Tamar Russell

CALL TO ORDER: Joe called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m.
INTRODUCTORY COMMENTS:
Joe spoke: Welcome, MCC Mission, public meeting guidelines / FCC Announcements
PUBLIC COMMENT:
No public comment
NEW MEMBERS:
Welcome Ricardo Barros. Welcome Eva Kelly, who is not in attendance tonight.
VOTE; GRANT REPORT:
Dan updated grant award letters with Chair Joe Bowen.
Emailed Award letters on 2/12 & 2/13/25
73 grants were awarded.
So far, 12 have submitted the paperwork needed to begin processing grant award monies.
Those will be filed and submitted to City Hall for processing.
Note: Award Letter has been updated, asking awardees to complete the documentation of their
event within two weeks of their event’s occurrence. Dan will continue to make note of
processes, so there will be operational documentation for future grant coordinators.
2024 grant cycle is just about closed out.
Awaiting 1 final grant report. Has spoken with grantee & they are working to get it submitted.
2 payments for a grantee were mailed out on Friday. Grantee was notified.
Received confirmation of a return payment for two accounts
1 account needed a new check issued and that has been done
Will follow up to confirm payment in the next week or two.

UPCOMING EVENTS / ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Joe: great to see FCC supporting the Creative Summit this past weekend. Amazing event. Hope
to continue participation next time. Tamar appreciated it. Dan enjoyed putting faces to names of
grantees.
Broadway Karaoke this Friday 2/28/25 at Main Street Studios, 569 Main Street in Fitchburg and
Openest Mic on Saturday 3/22/25 at New Dawn Arts Center, 84 Main Street in Ashburnham
Dan: for next meeting, maybe we can discuss ways to build off of the Summit event. Maybe do
some meet & greets soirees.
