MEETING MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER: Joe called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
1. Welcome & Introductions
2. Presentation to educate attendees about the FCC
3. Featured Grantee Statement - Derek Craig/Coff33 Corp
Discussed his organization and its relationship with the FCC and how funding has
benefitted his goals and that of the community.
4. Review of the new grant scoring system (refer to 7/28/25 meeting minutes for details)
5. Open the floor to public input
Public Input Notes
● Fund events at the new Fitness Studio in Coolidge Park
● Fund more things for adults
● Fund theater for kids
● Get word out to kids where they are
● Get word out to recovery centers
● Fund more public art
● Fund programs involving boxing
● Funding for the Reville events newsletter
● Create an art-focused newsletter
● More public art & funding for things that make Fitchburg beautiful
● Create a makerspace - large-scale/industrial
● Have a stronger presence on Facebook - more active
● Distribute flyers in more locations
● Word of mouth is a popular way to learn of events
● Facebook is waning
● Use instagram more
● Better advertising of community calendars
● Repost flyers on social media
● More QR codes on flyers
● Lawn signs, at rotaries
● Monthly Meet & Greets
● Welcome to Fitchburg Signs - use to advertise events
● A-frame signs, weather resistant
● FCC visit High Schools - talk about grants and membership
